Make play time safe and comfortable with play mats
You can use a play mat to make it much more comfortable for your child to play on the floor. Play mats are particularly useful if you have a wooden floor that might be too hard to play on. Play mats are not just practical, they are also useful in developing your child’s motor skills and abilities.
Play mats may, however, be difficult to use as a floor covering when your child is learning how to crawl - foam play mats, on the other hand, are great for learning how to crawl on, as they provide the child with a solid floor that is soft to land on if they should happen to fall.
